Happy New Year - Peace, Love and Conscious Evolution

Yesterday I received a very touching email from a friend practitioner of evolutionary Enlightenment.
She told me how hard it is to let go when our people are in danger and so is our home land.
It made me think again about that terrible endless vicious circle of violence.

I am from Israel. I was born there and have never been anywhere else till the age of 24. That is to say that I had to live through two wars and endless terror attacks. My father was an Egyptian man, so, in a way I can say that I know both sides of the Israeli Arab conflict. I also know the feeling of despair and wish for normality, shared by most people who live there, on both sides, Israelis and Arabs.

For the new year I wish all human being and other living creatures, PEACE.
I also know that the only way to peace is through conscious evolution.
I wish so much I would have some magic tricks for a wonderful near future,
but it looks as if, as ever before, the good will come after we learn, through a lot of hardship.

Peace will come also to the Middle East and the Israelis and Palestinians. I know it.
Till that happen, there is much to be done and we can, and must do help to ease the pain and improve life and living conditions of all being.

Still, The Universe Project is irreplaceable. Real, deep and sustainable peace will happen when all matter are enlightened.

It is all about conscious evolution - being and becoming.
I am so happy to be part of the work for that ultimate good, and hope you feel the same.

Happy New Year.

Dear Teresa

It is great to read your post. I thank you so much, for taking the time for it.
It means a lot, because a feedback is very important in order to charge the batteries, providing the energy for more action.

The truth is that blogging and social networking is very new to me too. As an ADHD person, any kind of writing or reading, is not my cup of tea:-) Still, I realised that, now a days, it is just what your friend Sarah is talking about; "it is a kind of a weapon of muss-construction", and I try to learn and use it, while at the same time continue my "normal" daily creative proses. (I am recording a new "conscious evolution" centered CD and doing my creative daily "father jobs":-).

I am aware of the fact that sometimes my remarks or actions can be a bit provocative, but at the same time I feel that it might be the right thing to do in order to keep the fire live.
So, again, thank you for the support and understanding.
It is wonderful that you are here, Teresa.

Hi, Eagle! I am new at this blogging thing but I joined because here is a forum that means business and adresses real issues, urgent topics and with yours, such a genuine, heart-felt way.
Today, I was at very uplifting community event in my home town, Toronto, canada where The Toronto Community Garden Network was teaching us how to start up new urban community gardens in our neighbourhoods. The whole process helps break down a lot of barriers experienced in a multi cultural society.
We learn each other's languages, food preparation methods, ways of gardening and playing music.
We help disadvantaged youth to find meaningful, rewarding activity; sometimes even members of rivaling gangs
end up working in the same neighbourhood garden or farmer's market and people isolated by their living with a disability come out to play, as it were, with the rest of their neighbours. Now this is a relatively peaceful part of the planet and I can't yet imagine Orchards and Community Gardens shared by Arabs and Israelis while the army controls land, water, air, goods and tools supplies routes...What to do? what if all the armies in the world were ordered to start growing food and flowers for us all. Let us compete for the most tasty, colourful, most nutricious garden on Earth! As my friend Sarah used to say: "whatever happenned to the weapons of mass-construction?!"

Yes, of course there are ways to break the circle - and we are doing it - absolutely.

Very interesting quot. I did not really about collective self-racketeering. True. Most individuals and even collectives find it hard to give up their suffering. Mostly they are not even aware of it and stay for the rest of the life in that stupid circle.
Still, I believe there are ways to break the circle, and... it is all coming down to the magic word; awareness.
Lucky, some of us are finally at the stage of their development that make it possible to be conscious of consciousness. So, we are able to spread the word and even open the eyes of those who try to resist. Yes we need to be pushy, consistent and insist to be heard. Those who are deep in conflict and suffering are unable to do the act alone and we must help them to face conscious evolution and face happiness and better future, even if they resist. Not an easy job in a world full of "neutral" nations....;-), but in no doubt it is very exiting and... we are doing it!

For those who would like to read the article "Is God a Pacifist?" you can find it here:
http://www.enlightennext.org/magazine/j26/pacifist.asp

I just met with 2 swedish friends and we spoke about neutrality. What we are finding is exactly what you are pointing to. Neutrality is not a good place to be in.

Here I will be "neutral" :), and quote from an article by Ysshuhiko Genku Kimura: Project Beauty and Freedom from Fear and Guilt.
"The spiritual master George Giurdjieff states: "A man will renounce any pleasure you like but he will never give up his suffering. Man is made in such a way that he is never so much attached to anything as he is to his suffering." Humanity, individually and collectively, is deeply and chronically addicted to suffering. This is precisely the reason that suffering persists in the world. Today we possess the necessary know-how and resources to transform our world into heaen on earth. Indeed it could be said that there is no need for conflict or war to continue in the world except for the collective need to suffer from conflict and war; or that there is no need for poverty and scarcity to continue in the world except for the collective need to suffer from poverty and scarcity, Although people usually believe that they want to live without suffering and be happy, their beleif is in fact a subtle form of self-deceit, a kind of psychological self-racketeering of which they are both victims and profiteers."

I don't think I could have said it better myself.

Dear Annica

I agree with Don Beck. Further more; I have seen a video talk with Don about the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and I totally agree with him, that best way to solve conflicts fast, is to improve living conditions of the people involved. Other wise, it looks as if we are going to have to wait another 14 billion years or a little less, till we bring all matter into enlightenment, and come nearer to finish the job that we started, creating the universe. (and... this is even more depressing if you understand that there is no end to evolution...).

So, I believe we all understand that evolution takes time, and we don't have really a lot of time to spend doing nothing... It will get us no where. I am from Israel but the mother of my children is Swiss and I live here. Switzerland is another "neutral" country, Just like Sweden. I think that being neutral show a low moral development. Being neutral is being selfish, being neutral is nearer to not being then to being, not to talk about becoming. Moral development leads to action!

There is a way out to violent conflicts. Countries like Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and America must take initiative and help improve the life condition of people in conflict areas. Israel and Palestain can't do it alone; Our situation is too complex and we need help. Eventually, all will benefit from it.
In the mean time, we, conscious evolution individual, can do a lot to speed up the evolutionary proses.

Not Easy.

Peace

Hi Eagle,

I just joined good reality - thanks to a lot of pushing from your part - and I am happy be here!

The conflict between Israel and Palestine is a situation where Conscious Evolution is undeniably very urgent.

Being from Sweden, a country that has held a policy of neutrality in armed conflicts since 1814, it might seem very far fetched for me to comment on this. However, what ever the particular cultural situation, Conscious Evolution points to just that: becoming more conscious about how evolution works and act accordingly.

In the process of wanting to find out about the Swedish relationship to peace, I just read the article in WIE 26, Is God a Pacifist?, by Carter Phipps. I find it very helpful because it brings the evolutionary perspective to the question of peace. Reading your blog, I saw that you are contemplating something similar.

What is the next step for Israel? For Palestine? What is the next step for Sweden? How can we evolve? How does evolution work?

Here is a quote from the article, quoting Don Beck, sheding some light to this:

“He (Don Beck) explains that human nature and human culture are also governed by the same deep principles that we find at the heart of living systems across the universe. If we want to genuinely resolve conflicts, he suggests, then we would do well to pay attention to how they work. “What we have to be able to do is learn how to manage emergence—not peace, but emergence. Trying to create peace means we're operating in a closed system, and then once we bring tranquility, harmony, and unity, everything will be fine. But that's homeostatic, equilibrium thinking. It's not human nature. Human nature is evolutionary, dynamic, always shifting. So, if our attempts at peacemaking are based on homeostasis—getting this group and this group to stop fighting—it won't work out.”

what is peace? I have often wondered. Even as a child,I craved peace, even when life apppeared calm and sane. we all pray for peace, we want Peace in our heart, in our family, in relationship, at work, every where. why is it so elusive?..... Peace is a fruit... a fruit of the spirit. An essence of Being. We cannot pray peace into being..... We cannot talk peace, we cannot negotiate peace... there is only one solution to bringing peace.... we can only BE Peace. .............To a disciple who was forever complaining about others the Master said, "If it is peace you want, seek to change yourself, not other people. It is easier to protect your feet with slippers than to carpet the whole of the earth." --Anthony de mello. Peace everyone and happy new year!!!!!! There will be peace, because we are peace.
